Zito Focused on FA Cup Final as Kotoko Prepare for Golden Kick Clash
Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has set his sights firmly on winning the 2024/25 FA Cup, making it clear that his team will not underestimate their lower-division opponents, Golden Kick, in the upcoming final.
The Porcupine Warriors are scheduled to battle Golden Kick on June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium for the prestigious domestic trophy.
Speaking to the media ahead of the highly anticipated final, Zito underscored the importance of respecting every opponent, regardless of their league status.

“You can’t underrate any club until you get what you want,” Zito said. “I don’t care whether they are in Division One or not — I am going there for the cup.”
“Whoever comes to the final, I am going to deal with it, I am going to fight for it, and I will make sure we beat them and take the cup,” he declared.
Kotoko booked their spot in the final after edging out Berekum Chelsea with a narrow 1-0 win in the semifinals at the TNA Stadium. Golden Kick, on the other hand, shocked many by eliminating Attram De Visser with an impressive 3-1 victory.
Before turning their attention to the FA Cup final, Asante Kotoko will continue their Ghana Premier League campaign, with a Matchday 31 encounter against Dreams FC set for Sunday at the Tuba Astro Turf.
