Chelsea Legend Bobby Tambling Passes Away At 84

Published

on

Bobby Tambling, a club legend who died at the age of 84, has left Chelsea Football Club and the football community in sadness.

With 202 goals in 370 games between 1959 and 1970, the former striker is still regarded as one of Chelsea’s most legendary players.

Before Frank Lampard finally overtook him in 2013, his incredible goalscoring record remained the club’s all-time greatest for over 40 years.

Tambling became one of England’s most dangerous forwards after making his Chelsea debut at the age of just 17.

He helped Chelsea win the League Cup in 1965 while he was at Stamford Bridge, and he gained recognition for his reliability in front of goal.

One of the team’s most iconic individual performances is his record of five goals in a single game against Aston Villa in 1966.

After leaving Chelsea, Tambling continued his career with Crystal Palace before relocating to Ireland, where he worked as a football manager and had success with a number of clubs.

Additionally, he made three appearances for England. Despite supposedly having dementia in recent years, he maintained a close bond with Chelsea and its followers.

Football fans, clubs, and former teammates have all paid tribute to him, remembering him not only as a prolific goal scorer but also as a respected and modest person.

His family remarked that football was his life and Chelsea was his eternal home, while Chelsea called him one of the best players in the club’s history.

Bobby Tambling’s name will live on in Chelsea legend for centuries to come as a result of his legacy inspiring Blues fans.

Tottenham Open Talks With Manchester City Over Savinho Move

Published

on

Spurs have set their sights on the Brazilian international in an effort to increase their offensive alternatives for the upcoming season.

According to “GE,” Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have started exploratory negotiations on a deal for Savinho. In order to improve their offense before the 2026–2027 season, the London club has designated the Brazilian forward as a major priority. According to GloboEsporte, talks for a long-term agreement have begun, but they are still in their early phases.

Savinho, a graduate of the Atlético-MG system, gained recognition in Europe following an outstanding tenure with Girona, leading to a transfer to Manchester City for the 2024–2025 campaign. The winger has thrived under Pep Guardiola’s guidance and established himself as a staple in the Brazil national team lineup. He returned to the City fold for the last stretch of the previous season, despite missing time due to a thigh injury.

The transfer is a part of Tottenham Hotspur’s major roster restructuring under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The team is in dire need of reinforcements following a difficult Premier League season to avoid falling into the bottom half of the table once more. Savinho would join fellow countryman Richarlison in the Spurs lineup if the move goes through in the Spurs ranks.

The winger has always piqued Spurs’ interest; last October, the team reportedly tried to entice him to North London, but Manchester City was able to secure his future with a new deal. The forward’s current contract with the “Cityzens” expires in the summer of 2031.
