OFFICIAL: Cristiano Ronaldo Extends Al-Nassr Contract Until 2027

Published

on

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year contract extension with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, keeping him at the club until June 2027.

The 40-year-old forward joined Al-Nassr in late 2022 and has since scored over 90 goals in just over 100 matches. He recently won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot with 35 goals and remains in top form.

Ronaldo’s deal is reportedly worth around €200 million per year, reaffirming his status as the highest-paid footballer in the world.

Since his arrival, he has played a key role in raising the profile of Saudi football, attracting global stars and boosting international viewership. While Al-Nassr has yet to secure a league title during his time, the club did win the Arab Club Champions Cup.

The extension means Ronaldo will continue playing into his 40s, with more records in sight—and a potential sixth World Cup appearance in 2026.

Juventus 2–5 Manchester City: Haaland Hits 300 as City Dominate Club World Cup Clash

Published

on

Manchester City produced a dazzling display to overpower Juventus 5–2 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, sealing top spot in Group G at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with a perfect record.

Pep Guardiola’s side, brimming with confidence and flair, tore through Juventus with clinical precision, sending out a strong message to their rivals ahead of the knockout rounds.

First Half: Doku Strikes Early, Kalulu Own Goal Adds Pressure

City wasted no time asserting their dominance, as Jeremy Doku opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a trademark cut-in and finish from the left flank. Juventus responded swiftly through Teun Koopmeiners, who capitalized on a wayward pass from Ederson to level the score in the 11th minute.

But parity didn’t last long. In the 26th minute, Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu turned a dangerous low cross from Savinho into his own net, restoring City’s lead in unfortunate fashion for the Italian side.

Second Half: Haaland Hits 300, Foden and Savinho Seal the Deal

The second half saw City shift into top gear. Erling Haaland, quiet by his own standards in the group stages, announced himself with a poacher’s finish in the 52nd minute—marking his 300th career goal in style after a Matheus Nunes assist.

City weren’t done yet. Phil Foden added a fourth in the 69th minute with a composed finish, before Savinho capped off a stunning performance with a thunderous strike off the bar in the 75th.

Juventus could only muster a late consolation in the 84th minute through Dusan Vlahovic, who slotted home from a clever Kenan Yildiz through-ball.

Match Summary

Final Score: Juventus 2–5 Manchester City

Goals:

Man City: Doku (9’), Kalulu (own goal, 26’), Haaland (52’), Foden (69’), Savinho (75’) Juventus: Koopmeiners (11’), Vlahovic (84’)

City enjoyed 65 percent possession and racked up 24 shots to Juventus’ 5, showcasing complete control throughout the match.

Tactical Breakdown

City’s aggressive wing play, especially through Doku and Nunes, dismantled Juventus’ backline. Their ability to press, recover, and transition rapidly left the Italian giants chasing shadows. Juventus, though dangerous in spurts, were ultimately undone by unforced errors and a relentless City attack.

What’s Next?

Manchester City advance to the one-sixteenth stage where they will face the Group H runners-up—either Real Madrid or RB Salzburg—on July 1 in Orlando. Juventus, finishing second in Group G, also progress but face a tougher path in the knockout stage.

With three wins from three, 11 goals scored, and only 3 conceded, Manchester City look every bit the favorites to lift the trophy. Guardiola’s men are firing on all cylinders—and the rest of the world has taken notice.

OFFICIAL: Kamaldeen Sulemana Joins Atalanta in €21.5m Deal – Contract Until 2029 Signed

Published

on

In a major move for Ghanaian football, Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to join Italian Serie A side Atalanta from Southampton in a deal worth up to €21.5 million. The agreement, confirmed by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, marks a significant step forward in the winger’s career after a challenging season in the English Championship.

The deal will see Atalanta pay €17.5 million in instalments, with an additional €4 million in performance-based add-ons. Southampton, who signed Sulemana from Rennes in 2023, have also secured a 15 percent sell-on clause, ensuring future financial benefits should Atalanta sell the player.

Sulemana, 23, is expected to sign a contract that runs until June 2029, with an option to extend. The Ghana international brings pace, flair, and creativity to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, who will be looking to strengthen their attacking options ahead of a new campaign in Europe.

Sulemana struggled to find consistency with Southampton following their relegation from the Premier League but remained a bright spark with his electric dribbling and ability to stretch defences. His move to Atalanta comes at a crucial point in his development, offering him a fresh start in one of Europe’s top leagues.

This transfer could also prove beneficial for the Black Stars, as regular appearances at a high level will sharpen Sulemana’s form ahead of Ghana’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers and AFCON 2025 preparations.

Juventus 4-1 Wydad Casablanca: Yıldız Brace Fires Bianconeri Into Club World Cup Knockouts

Published

on

Philadelphia, USA – June 22, 2025

Juventus delivered a commanding statement in the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday night, dismantling Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca 4–1 in their second Group G match.

A dazzling performance from 20-year-old forward Kenan Yıldız, who scored twice, ensured the Italian giants maintained their perfect start to the tournament and all but booked a place in the Round of 16.

The match burst into life in the opening minutes when Khephren Thuram’s sharp move ended with a low shot that deflected off Wydad defender Soufiane Boutouil and into his own net, gifting Juventus a 1–0 lead just six minutes in.

Only ten minutes later, Yıldız stunned fans and pundits alike with a thunderbolt from distance that soared into the top-right corner — a strike already being tipped as one of the tournament’s best goals.

To their credit, Wydad responded with a moment of brilliance in the 25th minute. South African forward Thembinkosi Lorch, played in by Ayoub El Amloud, chipped Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio with composure to make it 2–1, briefly raising hopes of a comeback.

But Juventus never lost control. The second half saw them dominate possession and dictate tempo. In the 69th minute, Randal Kolo Muani threaded a perfect pass through the Wydad backline, and Yıldız made no mistake — calmly slotting home for his second of the night and third of the tournament.

The match was capped in stoppage time when Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović converted a penalty after being brought down inside the box, making it 4–1 and sealing a comprehensive win for the Bianconeri.

Yıldız Steals the Show

All eyes were on Kenan Yıldız, whose brace and all-round performance earned him Man of the Match honours. Head coach Igor Tudor was full of praise post-match, calling him “a golden boy” and emphasizing his growing importance to the team.

“Kenan plays with the maturity of a veteran. He’s special — and he’s showing the world exactly why we believe in him,” Tudor said.

Group G Outlook

The win puts Juventus at the top of Group G with six points, ahead of their final group game against Manchester City on June 26 in Orlando. Wydad, meanwhile, remain bottom with zero points and must beat Al Ain and hope results elsewhere go in their favour to stand any chance of progressing.

Match Summary:

Juventus Goals: Boutouil (OG, 6’) Yıldız (16’, 69’) Vlahović (90+4’, pen)

Wydad Goal: Lorch (25’)

Possession: Juventus 63% – Wydad 37%

Shots on Target: Juventus 8 – Wydad 3

Man of the Match: Kenan Yıldız
