JUST IN: WAEC Releases Provisional Results For 2025 BECE Candidates
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both School and Private Candidates. This announcement marks an important milestone for thousands of Junior High School students across the country who participated in the examination earlier this year.
According to WAEC, candidates can now access their results online at the Council’s official portal, www.waecgh.org, using a results checker. The Council advised students, parents, and guardians to rely only on the approved channels in checking results to avoid being defrauded by unscrupulous individuals who may take advantage of the situation. School heads have also been encouraged to check and download results on behalf of their candidates for placement and further processes.

In its statement, WAEC reminded the public that the BECE serves as a crucial transitional examination for Junior High School graduates, determining placements into Senior High Schools and Technical/Vocational institutions under the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS). The Council assured stakeholders that measures have been put in place to ensure the accuracy and security of the results released.
While congratulating all candidates on reaching this stage, WAEC urged students to prepare themselves for the next phase of their academic journey. The Council also reiterated its commitment to upholding credibility and fairness in the conduct of examinations in Ghana. The release of these results now paves the way for the Ghana Education Service to proceed with the school placement exercise for successful candidates.
